The Reverend Helen Sammon
Revd Canon Helen Sammon joined this Benefice in January 2016. Helen comes from Gloucester and has been in ordained ministry here since 2003. Prior to that she was a GP, and has spent many years as a missionary doctor in Africa. From 2012—14 she and her husband served as the Diocesan Mission partners in Western Tanzania. As well as her parish ministry Helen is involved in the training and development of clergy in the wider Diocese. Helen is married to Alastair and they have three grown up children. Helen says:
“It is a great pleasure to be serving the churches of this Benefice, and getting to know the people of our communities. These are changing times for our society and for our churches, and it is my longing that through our relationships and our actions we continue to share the love and hope of Jesus Christ with all people.
It is a delight to share the ministry of this Benefice with honorary associate priests:
Revd Geoff Crago.
Revd Philippa Brunt.
and with all the members of our congregations who give of their time and energy so generously.
